How would it be saved? • Government organisations transfer records to archives (‘overbrenging’)… • National government: National Archives and Regional Historical Centres • Provincial government: Regional Historical Centres • Municipal government: Regional Historical Centres or municipal archives • …obligation after 20 years: plans to shorten this period to 10 years • Records should be (transferred) in ‘good, orderly and accessible condition’ (‘goede, geordende en toegankelijke staat’) Result: preservation, finding aids (‘inventarissen’), search engines
