Activity 2 Truths and a Lie On your piece of paper, write 3 statements about yourself. 2 should be true, and the other is not true—write them in any order. Try to make statements unusual, so that it is difficult for others to guess which one is a lie.
Lucinda’s Example: • My favorite food is a cheeseburger. • Before moving to Illinois, I lived in China for about 7 years. • My younger brother is studying to become a Director in Hollywood, California. **Before you read your 3 statements to everyone, be sure to say your name. After you read your 3 statements, ask “Which 1 do you think is a lie?” so that we can guess. After a few guesses, explain which statement is a lie.
Pay Attention • At the end of the presentation, I will ask you some questions—the first person to answer each question will win a prize. • Write your name and email address on the list being passed around. I will email this PPT to you so you can look at it again and share it with your parents.
