How To Make More Tourists Come To Northern Ireland… A Theme Park!
Where Will the New Theme Park Be Located? • The theme park will be located in Glynn. The reason we have chosen Glynn as our location for the theme park is that it is small and does not have many houses. We can build it just outside the Glynn but not to close in case we upset the people who live in Glynn. Hotels could be built outside the theme park for the visitors to the theme park and Glynn would have lots of visitors and will expand due to the tourism. There is a train station in Glynn and that could transport the visitors from Larne to Glynn. • Larne also has a harbour in it and this means that people from England, Wales and Scotland could get on a boat and go to The Theme Park. • Glynn would be a great place for a theme park because of these reasons.
About The Theme Park • The Theme Park will be called “Kung Fu Park” meaning leisure time in Japanese. • The Theme Park will be split into 4 different sections: • Outer Space • Prehistoric Park (dinosaurs) • Aquatic wonderland • Virtual Arcade World
Outer Space • Outer space will have rides based on space and they will simulate weightlessness as if you were in space. • One of the rides is a roller coaster that spins round and goes backwards as well as forwards, it is meant to be like a spaceship that has gone out of control. • One of the roller coasters is one that goes straight up and then falls down at high speeds, it also simulates weightlessness. • There is also some amusements for those with a weak stomach, one is one of the planets in our solar system and when you go inside it will show you what it is like on each planet.
Prehistoric Period • This is the most scary part of the park, it’s not the rides that make you scared it’s the models of the dinosaurs. They will make scary noises that dinosaurs would usually make and move. • One of the amusements is a winding path through a forest with moving models of dinosaurs that jump out of the trees at you. • There are also themed roller coasters, like one that goes up a very high hill, does a loop de loop into a dinosaurs mouth and underground to come back up again at high speeds. • This part of the park is not for the faint of hearted.
Aquatic Wonderland • This part of the park is where you get very wet, one of the rides is a boat that goes along a river with water pumps shooting water at you, then you will go down a big hill into a big pool of water that will soak you. • One of the other rides is a huge chute that twists and turns and people go down it in a rubber dingy with 6 people in each boat. • There is also an aquarium for those who don’t like getting wet, with tunnels of glass going under a huge tank of water you can walk inside the tank and watch the fish and sharks.
Virtual Arcade World • This is the section where you can play games all day long if you really, really wanted to. • There are racing games, snooker, pool dancing games and even a disco. • There are many computer games for anyone and everyone to play, one of the best is a simulator to simulate things such as underwater or on another planet.
