  3. Infobesity – What is it? Infobesity – (noun) Being provided or exposed to more information than a person is able to process or use in order to make sensible decisions. Does this presentation suffer from information overload?

Infobesity – The negative effects on you and your job • It can be exhausting! • More equals more and more equals more – What do I Use? • Slows productivity and stifles creative thought – “Data smog” • Time lost/time wasted – Facebook, text messages, phone calls & e-mails • Added stress/pressure – When is enough enough? • Reinforces an atmosphere of doom and gloom – I give up!

Annually review your software • -are the applications still worth the money? • -whatnew technology would work better? • 4). Don’t be afraid to share the information and dashboards

Smart Meter Texas (SMT) Portal • View your buildings plug load • See if your building is slamming on or staging on • See data down to 15 minute intervals • Download .csv files by meter for larger data requests *copying & pasting is faster for a couple days of data • Great for comparing specific time of day data to monitor new projects (e.g. new parking lot lights)
