  2. Technology is really shaping the way things are done in the present. Healthcare and medicine are an essential part of our existence. If you dig deep into the history it's the technology in the medical science which has improved the lifespan of people over the ages. Not so long ago people would die of diseases like flu and malaria but now that does not happen. Well, that's just one example, the real advancement of technology has been in the more serious life-saving applications. Number people dying during surgery has significantly declined and that's all because of advancement of technology.

  3. Robotics and nanotechnology in medicine : Robotics and nanotechnology in medicine are the new buzzwords which are taking people with surprise. We have used the word surprised because people cannot really imagine that surgery on the human body can be conducted with the help of robots. Or for that matter machines that are so small that they can enter the bloodstream without harming the body to repair it.

  4. Well, this is not something coming out of science fiction, nanotechnology and robotics are very much here and changing the way people are being treated now. Doctors have started using robotic arms and other aids to conduct precision surgery. Nowadays complex surgeries like transplants and ophthalmic procedures are now being done with help of robots. Imagine conducting surgical procedures at the micro level the level which a surgeon cannot perform with his bare hands or normal vision. Surgeries like joining the nerve endings and replacing limbs etc. All of this was not possible a few decades back however with the growth of nanotechnology and robotics such kind of procedures are now possible.

The possibilities for improvement in the quality of life of people are immense. In fact, we might soon observe development nanotechnology robots that are as small as bacteria.  Even genetic disorders can now be treated to a certain extent using genetics nanotechnology robotics. Its a branch of science which uses a combination of robotics and nanotechnology to treat the patients.
