  2. 1. Explore More While all your favorite RPA tools are emerging as new cutting-edge technology, it is better to know all their functionalities. For instance, Blueprism supports programming languages like C#, Visual Basics and Visual J#. It is never too late to start learning a programming language. And my favorite is Visual Basics as it is quite easy to learn and understand. You need not be a full stack developer, instead you should be able to interpret a code you get from some websites.

  3. 2. It Simple Once if you can write or alter a code, you can cut down long steps of designing a robot. You can replace many action stages with a single piece of code. In fact, code can even reduce the processing time, which will be very helpful for you if you are working in a strict SLA based projects.

  4. 3. Reusable Objects It is a very good practice to make as many as reusable objects ↺ ↺ in a process which can be used by many other processes. Creating meta bots (AA) / VBO's (BP) will be very much functional for future development works and also avoids consuming time in creating same operating codes.

  5. 4. Have a strong base in Database It is very essential to know SQL as it is a standard language for storing, manipulating and retrieving data in databases. Trust me, learning SQL is not a big deal for non-programmers also. It is simple but very dynamic. If you are strong in SQL you have a significant advantage as most of the RPA projects operate using database.

  6. 5. Excel in Excel Yes, you read it correct. Be a master in Advanced Microsoft Excel. Know about the most inevitable excel formulas and macros (1st generation automation) which is an inbuilt function in Microsoft Excel. It operates on basic recording and VB code. Learning VB has a dual advantage now. You can use in code stage and in macro file also. Macros offer many advantages to those who choose to use them. They reduce the possibility of human error that increases with many, repetitive keystrokes and tasks. Macros reduce the amount of time that must be spent performing basic computing tasks, freeing users up for more complex problem-solving and idea-generating activities. They also make complex computations easier to perform.
