  2. welcome Welcome to Camp Zoneat Chesterbrook Academy Camp Schedule Camp Zone® offers fun-filled summer programs for children ages 3-12.Each week, campers jump into action, participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and attending special events. Our campers have the opportunity to expand their horizons during the summer, embarking on new adventures, and having fun! Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable! It all starts with our outstanding camp counselors.A camp is only as good as its staff, and we are extremely proud of ours. Talent, creativity, love of children, leadership and devotion make our camp counselors the heart and soul of the program. We take our camp programs seriously and begin our summer with intensive staff training and orientation. Camp Zone® counselors and specialists are doing exactly what they enjoy most: spending a summer inspiring campers to explore, reach for new heights, and expand their horizons. Camp Zone®. Camp Zone® includes five days of activities, from 6:30am – 6:30 pm. We offer a range of outdoor activities, plus indoor activities conducted in our fully air conditioned facility.   3. themes Summer Camp Weekly Themes The Amazing RaceSummer 2013 This summer, don’t channel surf in front of your television! Leap into our world of adventure, art, science and fitness. Each week we will “travel” to an action packed country and experience these different places via field trips, guest speakers, activities, and specialty camps. Our qualified and knowledgeable staff will guide your camper on a fantastic summer-long journey. Week 1 Welcome to Camp! – We are kicking off our summer adventure with some great team building activities and field trips that will make sure that this is one summer to remember! Week 6 Australia – campers will travel “down under” below the equator to Australia, where marsupialsand Koalas are kings. G’day, Mate! Week 7England – Campers are transported to merry ol’ England where they will travel the Thames and explore the tower of London. Don’t forget to mind the gap! Week 2 Africa – Campers will be transported to the continent of Africa where they will compete in challenges and activities that explore the desert savannahs to the tropical jungles. Week 8 Japan – Campers will become ninjas and samurai as they learn about Japanese culture and traditions. Week 3 Jamaica – campers will get to explore the tropical climate of the Caribbean while learning about island life through fun activities and games. Week 9 Mexico – Campers will go on a gastronomic adventure exploring different flavors and spices, while also learning about ancient peoples, like the Mayans and Aztecs. Week 4 Spain –Campers will travel through Catalonia to Barcelona, as well as stopping at the Capital of Madrid. They will learn about the Spanish language as well as rich parts of Spanish history, like bull-fighting. Ole! Week 10 India – Campers will learn about cultural aspects of India, including architecture, Bollywood, and the game of Cricket! Week 11 USA – Campers experience an explosion of our patriotic spirit as we explore the USA. This week will be a parade of stars stripes, discovering tall mountains , prairies and the deep blue oceans Week 5 Germany – Guten Tag! Campers will take a trip on the Autobahn while competing in speed challenges that will rival those speedy German engineered cars!
