EMBASSAMENT DE SAU L'embassament de Sau (Vilanova de Sau) és al peu de la serralada de les Guilleries, pertany a la conca del riu Ter i, juntament amb el de Susqueda i amb el del Pasteral, forma part d'un sistema de tres pantans que uneix la comarca d‘Osona amb la de la Selva. Té una llargada de 17 Km. i 3 Km. d'amplada i permet la pràctica d'esports nàutics. El pantà, inaugurat el 1962, va cobrir el poble de Sant Romà de Sau, les restes del qual, especialment del campanar de l'església romànica del segle XI, són visibles quan el nivell de l'aigua embassada és baix. SAU RESERVOIR Sau reservoir (Vilanova de Sau) is located in the foot of Guilleries mountain range, and belongs to the basin of river Ter, and along with Susqueda and Pasterals reservoirs, builds up a three reservoir system which unites Osona county with Selva county. It’s 17 Km. long and 3 Km. wide and nautical sports can be practised there. The reservoir was inaugurated in 1962 and it covered the village of Sant Romà de Sau. Its ruins, especially the bell tower of the Romanesque church from 11th century, are visible when the level of the water is low.
