Preparation • For the exam, study all module content, except content related to research proposal • Practise all exercises (quantitative and qualitative) • Analyse the design and the data from each of the three experiments
Mock exam paper • Structure and elements of the exam paper, illustrated with a mock exam paper, and other considerations • General – note: • Number of sections • Marks per sections • Calculator allowed • ‘Open-book’ exam: can bring learning materials
Section 1 (25 marks) • SPSS output; results from one of the experiments • Complete entries with question marks in results • Must show all your workings • Research design and data analysis with interpretation of results
Section 2 (20 marks) • SPSS output; results from one of the experiments • Data analysis with interpretation of results
Section 3 (20 marks) • Multiple-choice questions about wide range of research designs and quantitative analysis; anything can come up • Includes questions related to the design of one of the experiments • ‘Always giving you extra’: bonus question!
Section 4 (35 marks) Can include • Your experience of using a particular qualitative technique • Doing a piece of qualitative data analysis • Theoretical question about data collection or data analysis
