If you have a doorstop that is broken and your door swings all day, leaving a handle-size hole in your wall. You probably decided to go for the magnetic door stopper. This type of door protects your walls from getting damaged and you can keep the door open if you desire instead of constant and irritating slamming. Installing a magnetic Door stopper takes little time and effort. A magnetic doorstop features a two-piece design where the post side attached to the door and the receptacle is attached to the walls. If you want it, you can mount a less common model on the floor. Things you will need: • Hammer • Screwdriver • Nails • Thread • Drill Here is how you can install a magnetic doorstop DIY: 1) Positioning and drilling

  2. Position the doorstop on the lower and outside area of your door. You can use a self-tapping metal screw for metal doors and short wood screws for wooden doors. Trace a circle around the catch with a pencil. 2) Mounting the catch Place the blade of the flat-headed screwdriver into the slot on the underside of the mounting plate. Rotate counter wise along with holding the catch section still. You will get a detached mounted plate. 3) Mark and drill Position the mounting plate on the penciled circle on the door and mark the screw holes. 4) Secure the Anchor and Door fitting Utilizing the supplied screws or other anchoring devices appropriate for your project, secure the anchor fits and door fitting into the marked positions. Sometimes, the mount doesn’t align perfectly with the door fitting. In this condition, you can rotate the bracket and refasten it to the floor or the all. 5) Mounting in concrete Drill a hole into the concrete and tighten the washer and nut against expanding their liner. Insert the assembly into the hole. To fix it, you will need a threaded stud above the floor, and you may need to remove the nut for attaining proper fit. The floor mounting receptacle has the same form and installation process. You can mount the base of the floor and cover the base with the above instructions.
