  2. Who Are We • Creative Sensors International is an Australian Company located in Adelaide and is an Australian Distributor for CST (Creative Sensor Technology) from the USA. • CSI’s approach to the Industry is to supply focused product support to its distributors and users rather than its products just being one product in a pricebook of ,000’s www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  3. CST Products • Combiflow • Pathway SO1 • Pathway HO2 • Flow Sensors • Isoflow • Pulse Conversion Transmitter • Flow Monitor • Flow Simulator www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  4. Combiflow Facilitates for the connection of two flow sensors into an irrigation smart controller where normally the controller will accept only one flow sensor input. Fully programmable via the ‘Configurator’ allowing for different size input sensors. Can be ‘stacked’ to enable multiple inputs. Compatible with othe CST Products such as the Pathway, PCT and Isoflow. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  5. Pathway SO1 Pathway is a communications system that allows a CST flow sensor and solenoid actuated master valve to be retrofit to an irrigation system utilizing existing zone valve wires to carry data and valve control signals to the irrigation controller. The Pathway S01 provides a reliable cost effective method to add a two wire flow sensor and master valve to installed systems where existing pavement, hardscape, or other landscape features make conventional wiring prohibitively expensive. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  6. Pathway SO1 • Total distances upto 600m from controller provided the existing host valve wiring is correctly sized and in sound condition (Pre qualifying site test recommended) • Controller must have flow monitoring and control capabilities (ieFlowsmart™ module) • Use either host field valve or existing mastervalve as host. • Can be combined with other CST products such as Combiflow to add a second water supply www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  8. Flow Sensors Designed by the same team who created the original impeller flow sensor, CST’s sensor is completely new, not a redesign. The sensor features a square wave digital signal proportional to flow. The characteristics of the output signal duplicate existing impeller flow sensor signals making the FSI series sensor compatible with all manufacturer’s control products. The pulse signal will travel up to 2,000 feet (600m) without amplification. The key elements of this new technology are a proprietary mounting tee, ultra-lightweight impeller and improved processor based electronics giving the FSI series sensor improved performance. All CST Flow Sensors are FULLY COMPATIBLE with leading irrigation Controllers and K factors & Offset are supplied with each sensor for easy configuration. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  9. Flow Sensors (Tee) • Available in 25mm, 40mm and 50mm PVC SWJ & 25mm Brass Tees • Pressure Rated to 1680kpa • Flow Rates as low as 3.3 L/M • Fully compatible with all flow capable Smart Controllers (K factor & Offsets provided) www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  10. Flow Sensors (Saddle) • Suits 80mm PVC (S1), 90pn12.5 Poly & 100mm PVC (S1) • Pressure Rated to 1050kpa • Flow Rates as low as 22.7 L/M • Sensor depth and alignment are preset. No measuring tools and alignment rods are necessary. Simply drill a 1 3/4 inch hole in the pipe and attach the two halves or the saddle. • S Series sensors utilize the same insert and retaining nut as our tee type sensors. • Fully compatible with leading flow capable Smart Controllers (K factor & Offsets provided) www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  14. What is a K and Offset? • K and Offset numbers are the calibration constants used to convert the frequency produced by the turning flow sensor impeller into a measurement of flow rate. When a flow sensor impeller is turned by the water flowing through the sensor tee, it produces an electrical data signal that is proportional to its speed. The raw signal is measured in pulses per second or frequency. This frequency is converted into a unit of measure like gallons per minute (GPM) using the formula: • FREQUENCY = (GPM / K) – Offset. • The K number or “Constant” is a specific multiplier for the unit of measure and tee size for each CST flow sensor. A second number, called the Offset, is added to the formula to account for the slippage of the impeller in the fluid. Adding this Offset number to the formula improves the sensor accuracy. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  15. Pathway HO2 The Pathway PWY-00-H02 is a communications system that allows a pulse type flow meter (reed switch, contact closure type) and master valve to be retrofit to an irrigation system utilizing existing zone wire to carry flow information back to the irrigation controller and valve control signals from the irrigation controller to the master valve. The Pathway HO2 may not however replace the role of a flow sensor in ‘live flow rate monitoring’ for the purposes of alarms such as Rain Bird Flowatch™ unless the water meter has the ability to be set at a suitably low pulse rate and the flow zone flow rates are compatible. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  16. Pulse Conversion Transmitter The CST Pulse Conversion Transmitter allows a Rain Bird Controller with flow inputs the ability to monitor and record totalized flow from a pulse output flow meter with reed switch to a frequency output. K Factor & Offset Programming 1 litre per pulse K=2.5 Offset 0.010 litres per pulse     K= 25, Offset 0.0100 litres per pulse    K =250, Offset 0.01000 litres per pulse K= 2500, Offset 0.0    The Pulse Conversion Transmitter may not however replace the role of a flow sensor in ‘live flow rate monitoring’ for the purposes of alarms such as Rain Bird Flowatch™ unless the watermeter has the ability to be set at a suitably low pulse rate and the flow zone flow rates are compatible. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  17. Isoflow Allows one flow sensor to simultaneously provide flow information to up to six irrigation controllers. In the case of smart controllers, the control inputs allow the active controller to block the flow signal to inactive controllers eliminating alarms for non-scheduled flow. Allows one flow sensor to simultaneously provide flow information to multiple irrigation controllers and a pump control. Allow one flow sensor to simultaneously provide flow information to multiple irrigation controllers, a pump control and a fertigation controller. Allows one flow sensor to simultaneously provide flow information to irrigation controllers, pump controls and SCADA systems. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  18. Isoflow • The Model 302 Isoflow is a signal control device that receives the signal from one digital flow sensor and provides two electrically isolated outputs. • The Model ISO6 Isoflow is a signal control device that receives the signal from one digital flow sensor and provides up to six electrically isolated outputs. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  19. Flow Monitor Monitors Rate of Flow and Total Flow The DFM Series 6300 is a 1/8 DIN sized digital flow monitor for use with FSI Series flow sensors. The monitor is available as a panel mount or mounted in a polycarbonate NEMA 4 enclosure for wall mounting. The illuminated display is easily read in sunlight or darkness, and shows both rate and total at the same time. Output Options: The Model DFM 6301 is equipped with a 4-20mA analog output to transmit rate and two C form relays that may be independently programmed as high or low flow alarms, pulse outputs or totals. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  20. Flow Simulator The CST Flow Simulator provides a practical way to simulate the output signal produced by CST and other two wire impeller type flow sensors. The simulator uses the irrigation controller flow sensor circuit for power —no batteries required. The simulator connects to flow inputs and field wiring with leads coloured the same as flow sensors Red (+) and Black (-). The simulator has 9 selectable output frequencies to cover a full simulated flow range. The simulator works with all CST Isoflow and Combiflow products. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  21. Example Combinations • All of the CST products are compatible with each other and enable the ‘building’ of CSI solutions for a wide range of scenarios. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  22. Scenario 1 • Two potable and one non-potable supplies to one controller. Monitor total flow via the controller and independently monitor both grades of water. Non-potable supply is a water meter. www.creativesensorsinternational.com

  23. Scenario 2 • Add an additional water supply to an oval/reserve. New CST flow sensor and master valve Pathway SO1 field module Existing flow sensor and master valve Existing zone valve as ‘host’ Existing zone (host) valve wiring Combiflow Pathway SO1 Controller module www.creativesensorsinternational.com
