  6. YOU! Culture/Heritage Family Likes/Dislikes AttitudeReligion Talents Beliefs Friends Choices Experiences Knowledge

  7. We are all a minority of one.

  8. We all learn differently: • Linguistic- reading, writing, telling stories • Logical- logic, patterns • Kinesthetic- touching, body • Spatial- images, pictures • Musical- sound, rhythm • Interpersonal- interaction with others • Intrapersonal- through own feelings

  11. The giant Redwoods, or sequoia trees, can reach heights of over 300 ft. They grow in clumps and share a vast array of intermingled roots. Without each other, they would blow over in a storm.

  12. Synergy! • Now take one Baby step and when you meet a classmate or neighbor with a disability or impairment, don’t feel sorry for them or avoid them because you don’t know what to say. Instead, go out of your way to get acquainted.
