  2. FYI: These are going to be very basic ideas on how to integrate technology into a 1:1 classroom.

  3. Disclaimer • Technology is BOUND to fail! • At PCM High School we have a full-time tech support (and sometimes he is not enough!). • Always have a back-up plan. • Students WILL abuse their laptop privileges. • Be prepared to make changes in your classroom!

  4. Communication • E-mail • Use for reminders • Parent communication • Send assignments out • Student communication

  5. Communication • Twitter • Reminders • Follow others to get ideas for your classroom

  6. Organization • Digital Notes • Have students take their notes on their computers. • Eliminates sloppy handwriting! • Keeps them all in one place. • Students have access to them at ALL times.

  8. Organization • Edmodo • Online meeting place • Eliminates paper! • Excellent way to turn in assignments, have discussions, take a quick assessment, post questions.

  9. Organization • Moodle • Similar to Edmodo, great place to create an online class • Create a class structure, upload items, create assignments, create forums • Available free through the AEA

  10. Activities • socrative.com • Great review website • Good for quizzes • Gives immediate feedback
