Or do certain guitars choose their homely players like Excalibur chose Lancelot?” • “That bullet must have taken off my face…(the nurses) had to take off my zitty teenage Indian mug and replace it with a handsome white guy’s face”

  5. Verbal • Plopping scene • Discussing poetry on the way to a gunfight as Hank • Turning in the guns to Officer Dave

  6. Why use humor? • Alleviate the atrocity of horrible situations • Lighten a heavy mood • Explain unexplainable

  7. Humor in American Indian Culture • Not thoroughly researched yet • Hypothesis: Humor used for similar reasons as function in Flight, lightening hard situations and explaining the unexplainable
