  10. Player Commitment "The D6 one league rule has been replaced with a player commitment contracts that reads as follows -COMMITMENT TO TEAM – Players are expected to participate in all team activities (practices, games, tournaments, etc).  An allowance for an “excused absence” upon notice that is reasonable under the circumstances may be established by teams and associations. However, unexcused absence is grounds for consequence to a player, as determined by the team or association, up to and including suspension.

  11. CCHA Code of Conduct • Code of Conduct forms are required for every role: • Coach; Parent & Player • Players, coaches, parents and spectators are to conduct themselves in a manner that "honors the Game" and demonstrates respect to other players, coaches, officials, parents and spectators. • Playing hockey in the CCHA is a privilege, not a right. • All Code of Conduct forms will be collected by your team manager once the teams are formed

  12. Policy (cont’d) • New position: SafeSport Coordinator is required by USA Hockey, MN Hockey & D6 • The comprehensive program is focused on creating an environment that will deter abusers and assist those in the hockey community in recognizing, reducing and responding to allegations or suspected abuse. • CCHA will adopt Locker Room Supervision Policy • NON-COMPLIANCE- will result in team suspension from games, along with fines • Team manager will discuss how this can be implemented for your specific team

  13. Volunteer Policy • We depend on volunteers to keep our association running smoothly • You must set up a Volunteer profile along with your standard profile EVERY season • Volunteer Coordinator: Joyce Thomas • volunteer.coordinator@cchockey.org • Mandatory Volunteer Deposit = $300 • $600 for family of 2 or more

  14. Volunteering Volunteers are critical to CCHA’s operation 49 member’s volunteer checks were cashed last year Key Need Areas: Fundraising Expanded Brick City Ideas are great, ownership and involvement are better What areas and gaps do you see? CCHA brings on new roles as needed Role Descriptions for each position to be added to the website Clearly define responsibilities and time commitment

Does your company have any synergy opportunities with CCHA?

  20. Fees • Accountant: Julie Eklund and Lori Hill • Feel free to email accountant@cchockey.org anytime you have questions regarding your account.

  21. Ouch! My fees went up  • Fees are set to be equal to anticipated expenses • Hourly ice rates increased at Victoria from $200 to $205 this year (+ 2.5%) • Hourly ice rates increased at CCC from $209 to $215 this year (+ 2.9%) • Admin assumption captures actual costs (Admin, or overhead, is 15% of expenses) • Team sizes are based on 14 players vs 15 players last year

  22. Fees – Final Assessments • This year’s initial fees look larger because they are spread among a projection of 14 players per team rather than 15 last year • This does not change total fees, only the amount collected at registration • Registration fees are only an estimate for a C level team with 14 players. (B level for girls) • Final assessments calculate more exact costs, and the residual is billed or credited to player’s accounts in late November

  23. 2012-13 Expenses

  24. Ice • Ice Coordinators: Kyle Billadeau and Bob Lanzi • No changes in ice contracts from last year • CCHA ice scheduling model places a high priority on the following: • Using every hour that we have paid for • Supporting objectives as laid out by the HDC • Fairness to ALL teams (strive for even rotation of undesirable ice times) • Ensuring each team gets its budgeted hours • Sunday night clinics for skaters and goalies will continue this year. Every effort will be made to schedule Sunday games early in the day to avoid conflicts. All players are expected to attend Skills Clinics (skaters and goalies) these are not optional!
