Conclusions The Penrose process is a mechanism for single particles to extract rotational energy from a Kerr black hole. For a magnetized plasma instead of individual particles massloaded relativistic magnetic flux tubes are more natural objects to study the redistribution of mass, momentum and energy near the ergosphere of the black hole. Buoyancy of the flux tube helps to extract the spin energy of the hole. Magnetic reconnection leads to the formation of collimated bubble-structured jets.
