Why the gaps? • Teacher Ed does not cover this content enough – contextual knowledge of blending techniques • CPD based more on tools rather than pedagogy • Moodle always seen and used as a repository and not active platform • Not enough sharing within the college of active practices using online tools. (Many didn’t realise what you could do)

  5. Re-looking at and developing the CPD provision • The context of online learning with traditional teaching and learning knowledge • Learning theory in learning design • Planning for blending learning in SOW • Using active learning methods rather than passive repository use • What knowledge is needed before hand and what knowledge can be developed further
