What Is This? • The Clone Stamp tool selects and samples an area of your picture and then uses these pixels to paint over any other part of the picture.
When do I do this? Uses for the Clone Stamp tool include: • Blemishes and imperfections in image. • Removing objects in an image from a pattern of pixels.
How do I use this? • Select the Clone Tool in Gimp. • Look over the options in the toolbar to the left. • Hold down the “control” key and click on area to select and copy. • Now click where you want that pattern to paint over the image.
What do all the options do? • The paintbrush option lets you choose the mode, opacity, brush, and scale. • Mode – how the brush paints over the image. • Opacity – how transparent the brush paints. • Brush – choose what shape the brush is. • Scale – the size of the the brush
