  2. ECC activities support the claim: “Malta Financial Services Industry operates to very high standards. It’s because of these high standards that customers keep coming back to Malta”

  3. ECC established in late 2007 Aim 1: bring together Malta’s vocational training providers in the Financial Services Industry to enhance their educational programmes through: • mutual support: sharing ideas • collaboration: joint courses • coordination: avoid duplication

  4. ECC members: The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) The Malta International Training Centre (MITC) The Institute of Financial Services-Malta (IFS) The Institute of Legal Studies – Malta (ILS)

  5. Students’ Services Education Division The Institute of Financial Services Practitioners (IFSP) The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP - Malta) The Institute of Directors – Malta (IOD – Malta) The Malta Institute of  Accountants (MIA)

  6. Individual & Joint Courses 2010: 1500 participants attended 40 courses in: Insurance, Banking, Auditing,

  7. Accountancy, Law & Finance, Financial Advice, Investments, Soft Skills

  8. Aim 2: Promote careers in Financial Services through awareness of: • the importance of FS to the Maltese economy • job challenges & job satisfaction • career progression & attractive remuneration

  9. Career Orientation visits to MFSA • Average of 700 student visitors annually

  10. Meetings with Career Advisors from State, Church & Independent Schools • Two plenary meetings p.a. to • exchange views • discuss issues • share experiences • pick ideas for future action

  11. FS career promotion in schools by MFSA Human Resources personnel & ECC members

  12. Participation in Career Week

  13. Job-exposure in the FS industry • 2009: 60students in 13 entities • 2010: 77students in 19 entities • 2011: 122 students in 27 entities
