  1. Virtual Trip to a Spanish Speaking Country Spanish WebQuest 5th Grade Sra. Vigil

  2. Introduction Get ready to travel! Since you have been doing a great job in Spanish class, Señora Vigil has granted you with a free trip to any Spanish speaking country of your choice.There are 21 countries you can choose from!
Decide where you would like to visit, and have lots of fun on your "vacation" via the Internet.
When you return, you will create a travel brochure to convince others to go there too!

  3. Task • You will discover new information about your selected country as you research the following topics: • Location and Geography • Money and Exchange Rates • Government • Tourist Attractions/ Places of Interest/ Natural Resources • Food • Customs • History • Survival Phrases in Spanish • Activities and Fun • Find five to seven facts or pieces of information for each topic listed. • Look for pictures that are related to these topics; you will need one picture for each topic.
 • When you return, you will create a travel brochure on the country you visited.
 • You will present the travel brochure to the class. You must include your opinion on the country you chose and what you enjoyed the most about your stay.

  4. Process Step One: Decide which country you want to travel to. Step Two: Research the suggested topics. Some resources are being provided but you can use any other source you need to. Just remember to take notes and record your sources! Step Three: Find pictures, travel hints, and highlights from that country. Step Four: Follow the guidelines in the evaluation section. Step Five: Create a travel brochure using the research and pictures. Step Six: Present your travel brochure to the class.

  8. Learning Advise You will be doing a lot of research on the country you choose; be sure to choose a country you are interested in! Read the guidelines and understand the expectations in the evaluation (rubric) section before you begin your travel brochure. Remember to take notes on your research, and document your sources for both research and pictures. Your travel brochure should be typed and formatted on the computer. It must include pictures. Your travel brochure should be informative, interesting, well-researched, organized, and neat. Have fun, do your best, and enjoy learning about a new Spanish speaking country!

You have learned about Location, Geography, Government, Money, Natural resources, School, Family, Tourist Attractions, History and Food. You have also learned more about technology, the Internet, and the Spanish language!I hope you enjoyed your electronic journey and want to travel more via the Internet and the airplane.
