Myth buster Tyler VanGilder
Is the reason the seasons change the sun and rotation of the earth? • Yes the reason we have changes in seasons is because the rotation of the earth and the axis also the way that the sun hits the axis
More info on the seasons • When its at one axis the northern hemisphere has summer while southern has winter and its oppsite like when the southern hemisphere has summer northern has winter
How does the earth turn? • There is no push or force to keeps it moving this isn’t needed to keep it moving it spins on the axis as the moons tidal effect does this slowly
What happens if the earth stops spinning • The probability is basically zero in this happening in the next few billion years If the Earth stopped spinning suddenly, the atmosphere would still be in motion with the Earth's original 1100 mile per hour rotation speed at the equator. All of the land masses would be scoured clean of anything not attached to bedrock. This means rocks, topsoil, trees, buildings, your pet dog, and so on, would be swept away into the atmosphere.
Which direction does the earth rotate • The earth rotates from west to east with axis on the north south
Do some places not get every season • Every place gets every season but the tempatures can be very different like winter in a desert its still not cold but it may cool down a little
Without a moon? • With out a moon the earth would spin faster who knows what would happen ?
What if the earth turned twice as fast? • Our days would be half as long so our bodies would have to adapt to a very different sleeping schedule animals would also have to adapt to a new way of life for instance those that hunt at night would have to become more efficient because they would have fewer dark hours in which to catch their prey since plants would still be getting the same amount of sunlight just split up into smaller chunks of time I don't think they would have much of a problem adjusting but I am in no way a plant biologist
What if there was no sun • Planets will move towards space • Heat would slowly go away because the earth holds heat so we wouldn’t freeze to death instantly • Everything would be extremely dark
The sun before the moon • The sun formed before the moon then ormation of these planets a mars sized planet collided with earth ejecting enough material to form the moon
Actually there was something before the moon and sun • THE STARS ! The stars were formed first which made the sun came then last but not least the sun
