  2. HIGH RISK JOBS – RED CODE THE FOLLOWING IS A HIGH RISK TASK FOR WHICH A JSA FORM MUST BE FILLED OUT PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORKS. ASBESTOS OR LEAD -Jobs that require us to work with asbestos or lead WORKING WITH ASBESTOS, OR UNDERTAKING A JOB WHERE THERE IS A LIKELIHOOD THAT ASBESTOS IS PRESENT IS A HIGH RISK TASK FOR WHICH A JSA FORM MUST BE FILLED OUT PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK.

  3. HIGH RISK JOBS – RED CODE THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF OTHER HIGH RISK TASKS FOR WHICH A JSA FORM MUST BE FILLED OUT PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORKS. WORKING AT HEIGHTS -Jobs that require being more than 2 metres high (from the ground to your feet) WORKING NEAR POWER LINES -Jobs that require us to work closer than 6 metres to a main power line on the street. And Closer than 2 metres to a private power line to a private house. GAS LINES -Jobs that require us to work near gas lines, or with gas lines. Natural or LPG DEMOLITION -Jobs that require us to carry out demolition works, stripping walls Pull off roofs, excavate concrete.

Write the name of the person responsible (supervisor or above) to implement the control measure identified. Remember: Each JSA must be site specific. Include all workers in the development of the JSA

  6. REMOVING AC SHEET (less than 10m2 and to take less than one hour) Working with asbestos, or undertaking a job where there is a likelihood that asbestos is present is a high risk task for which a JSA form must be filled out prior to commencement of work

  11. WORKING AT HEIGHTS -many jobs where asbestos may be present can also require being more than 2 metres high (measured from the ground to your feet)

  13. PRE ROOF CHECKLIST Do you have your PPE Gear (Personal Protective Equipment) ? Are you authorised to work at that height ? Do you have your safety harness on board ? Does a guard rail need to be assembled ? Do you need any scaffolds, mobile lifts, boom equipment DON’T GET LEFT HIGH & DRY, THINK ABOUT YOUR JOB BEFORE YOU START!

List the tasks required to perform the activity in the sequence they are carried out. • Don’t go above 3 metres in height above the ground Getting on the roof • Using an extension ladder • Tie the ladder off top and bottom • Falling • Ladder Slipping • Wear your protective boots with grip (see your PPE) • Use an approved ladder • Have 3 points of contact on the ladder at all times • Feet of the ladder in good order • Make sure the ladder goes 900mm over the top of the roof, unless through a manhole GUIDEONLY DON’T FORGET YOUR PPE
