Asynchronous Learning and a Blended Learning Environment • Flip that classroom! http://languageteachingtips.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/learningdeliverycontinuum.jpg
Benefits of Blending • Mastery of outcomes • 24/7 access to resources • Students are more engaged • Increased parental contact • More interaction from the quiet ones • Potential for more student-teacher interaction and feedback • Flexible • Increased student success
Typical Classroom Routine • Science 7A begin their day with asynchronous until New Brigden joins us. • New Brigden joins us at 8:40 a.m. which is when we start the core of the lesson. • Science 7A/7B switch classes at 9:20 a.m. During the beginning of the 7B lesson, New Brigden continues working on their core lesson. I am available to them throughout the time and check in frequently with them.
