  4. In Chinese (four tunes) first tune ˉ chī 吃 eat (verb) second tune ˊ chí 迟 late (adv) third tune ˇ chǐ 耻 shame (noun) forth tune ˋ chì 赤 red (adj)

  5. In English (accentuate) content [kEn'tent] (adj) -----happy and satisfy with what you have. ['kEntent] (noun) ------the things that are contained in sth.

  6. In English (accentuate) desert [di'zE:t] (verb) ------to leave somebody withou help or support. ['dizE:t] (noun) ------a large area of land that has very little water and very few plants growing on it.

  7. analyze • Reasons: • Chinese: most of the words (pinyin has limited combinations, one combination with different tones can meant many words) • English: just a few words (almost every words have their own combinations, just need accentuate sometimes)

  8. conclusion • Different language has different grammar rules • Pronunciation decide the meaning and part of speech
