South-EastFinland-RussiaCBC-Programme 2014-2020 (ENI) Core programme area: • FINLAND: Kymenlaakso, South Karelia, South Savo • RUSSIA: St. Petersburg, Leningrad oblast Question about adjacent regions still open
ThematicObjectives: • (1) Business and SME development (Strategic objective A), • (2) Support to education, research, technological development and innovation (Strategic objective A), • (6) Environmental protection, climate change adaptation and disasters prevention/management (Strategic objective B), and • (10) Promotion of border management and border security (Strategic objective C) • Elements of theme 3 (culture& heritage) could be included in themes 1 & 2 and elements from theme 7 (accessibility, transport, communication newtworks) could be added to theme 10.
South-EastFinland-RussiaCBC-Programme 2014-2020 (ENI) • FUNDING • The allocation of programme funds should be available in June/July from the European Commission. • It is expected that the amount of funds will be approximately as in the current programme. • Large Investment projects • max 30 % of EU funding • Mainly related to border crossing points
