AMAZING ADVERBS • Adverbs are words that give more information about an action • They can tell us how, where, why and when something happens • They usually go along with verbs in your sentences For example: He listened carefully to his teacher. She accidentally broke the glass. He has alreadyfinished his homework.
INTERESTING IDIOMS • Idioms are phrases that aren’t interpreted literally • Every culture has their own idioms For example: She is pulling my leg. It’s raining cats and dogs. He finished it just in the nick of time. • Now write some of your own!
WRITING • Write such as a story/letter/apology from the point of view of one of the characters • a brother • the king • the tortoise • Explore the moral of the story - that liars and people who deceive others get their comeuppance • Include dialogue, adverbs and an idiom (if possible)
