  2. What is the Avraham Harman Institute of Contemporary Jewry? ICJ was founded in 1959 by Prof. Moshe Davis as a HU graduate teaching and research center devoted to multi-disciplinary understanding and analysis of Jewish communities the world over and their cultural and social phenomena in the 20th and 21st century. Israel-Diaspora relations are among the central topics of study Avraham Harman (1915-1992) Moshe Davis (1916-1996)
