A Three-Day Feast The celebration began after the food was blessed. The pilgrims thanked god for their bountiful harvest. They also thanked the Wampanoag for helping them with the harvest. They remembered the 47 men, women and children who died from cold and sickness the first winter.Then the celebration began. The pilgrims and the Wampanoag had a great feast. They ate and danced. They sang songs and played games for three days.
