  5. Others are okay with it -Newer and emerging artists see it as an asset -Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds says it leads to more attendance at shows, though admits there is no significant income -Other pro streaming sources say it contributes to itunes sales

  10. What if an artist has no label? Virtually anyone can release music on Spotify CD Baby is the leading website for artist distribution

  11. Independent artists A labelless artists who writes their own songs would get the most payment

  12. Why don’t all artists become indie? -Artists need labels for proper exposure -Most recording artists are tied into contracts

  13. Music Discovery While spotify is a decent engine for discovering music, many substitute buying music with streaming- which basically equals illegally downloading in most instances.

  14. Advertising -Spotify can advertise artists directly on the application -This is usually very costly, only useful to labels with money to spend.

  15. A new approach Offer different tiers for artists to choose from; - A new artist/independent can choose to have their music streamed without limits -An established artist can choose to have their music streamable for three songs before being prompted to purchase

  16. Where’s the options? Different Artist Different opinions.
