    2. John Dewey John Dewey lived from 1859-1952. John Dewey was the third of four sons. John Dewey died of pneumonia in 1952. John Dewey was made a memorial in 1965.

    3. John Dewey John Dewey’s work is not presented on a traditional curriculum. Education in Dewey’s eyes should engage and enlarge experience. John Dewey was arguably the most influential thinker in the 20th century.

    4. John Dewey’s attention John Dewey paid a lot of attention to reflection, democracy, community and environment.

    5. John Dewey’s passion Dewey had a great passion for democracy. There was an open court in Chicago that gave a good introduction to Dewey and his great work.

    6. John Dewey and books John Dewey had many books written on him one was called Understanding John Dewey. John Dewey has inspired many writers such as Kolb, Coyle, Lindeman, and Rogers.

    7. Money In the 1930’s Money was scarce in the 1930’s due to the great depression. A lot of people had to do many things just to keep themselves and their children happy.

    8. Schools and real education in the 1930’s. Schools became worse in the 1930’s because schools couldn’t afford books, healthy lunches, or even hire good teachers to teach the children. Long before the 1930’s school was an symbol of American democracy. In many ways it represented the promise of America.

    9. The promise of America. The Promise of America was it would be a place of hard work, achievement and awards, and where brilliance was mined from the oar of raw talent.

    10. Education The distance between the American ideal of school and the reality of American schools on 1932-1933, however lip service for education was freely available.

    11. Dewey being misread Dewey’s work is often misread, people often think his work is based on children education.
