  1. 9/26 On your College essay rough draft I want you to underline any instances of imagery. Also, make sure you put the prompt on the top of the page (if it is not evident) and double check that the word limit is listed on the bottom of the page. When you finish, create a Venn Diagram comparing and contrasting two characters from Tuesdays with Morrie (Mitch, Morrie, Ted Koppel, David, Peter, etc)

  2. Hey, My Hands Feel Tingly! Hey- However (used to signal conflict, contradiction concession, dismissal) My- Moreover (These show addition, introduction, similarity to other ideas) Hands- Henceforth (time word that is used to show that after a particular time there was a consequence or an effect) Feel- Furthermore (These show addition, introduction, similarity to other ideas) Tingly- Therefore (These transitions signal cause/effect and reason/result, etc)

  3. Using these Transitions Write a paragraph (about half a page) comparing and contrasting the two characters you created a venn diagram for earlier. You must include TWO direct quotes to support your claim!
