ACTION OF HUMILITY • Worship of God demands humility, Luke 18:9-14 • Avoid prideful motives, Matt 6:5-7; Psa 138:6 (95:6) • Service to men demands humility, Jno 13:12-17 • Can only serve with a submissive heart, 1 Pet 5:5 • Submitting to one another is a call to service, Eph 5:21 (Matt 20:25-28) • Humility serves instead of demanding to be served LIFE OF SERVICE Micah 6:6-8

REWARD OF HUMILITY • The humble person… • Is regarded by God, Isa 66:2 (God is near, Psa 34:18) • Possesses the kingdom of God, Matt 5:3 (18:1-4) • Obtains grace from God, Jas 4:6 (1 Pet 5:5) • Is lifted up by God, Jas 4:10 • Is remembered and vindicated by God, Psa 9:11-12 • Is honored, Prov 18:12; 29:23 EXALTED BY GOD 1 Peter 5:6
