Certificate of Authenticity Fossilisation is an extremely slow process, occurring when organic minerals like bone and wood are transformed into inorganic material, predominantly silica (quartz). It is only through fossilisation that we are allowed a glimpse at life as it was at least 20 million years before mankind and our predecessors lived. Conditions must be right and, when they are, a perfect facsimile of the skeleton is preserved, usually within sedimentary rock. The rock then protects and preserves the fossil through almost unimaginable time. A small time capsule, unchanged as the world around it continues to evolve. This Terradon piece you have purchased had already been underground for millions of years by the time the first pyramids were being constructed. Skilled craftsmen carefully removed this fossil stone from the rock strata without causing environmental damage. Your piece was then crafted from the raw, fossil stone, authenticated and exclusively presented. Nature ensures that no two Terradon pieces are identical and they are all quality checked and individually certified unique by an expert. Large high definition examples of such fine quality are incredibly rare and the limited supply of suitable examples means your Terradon piece is one of few that will ever be produced. You have purchased a genuine and unique certified fossil piece, beautifully crafted to be practical and enduringly treasured for lifetimes to come. John G.
