Transformation Experienced • WHOLE MAN(4:10) • Same man • Received strength (3:7) • Walking (3:8) • Leaping (3:8) • Praising God (3:8) • Perfect health (3:16) • HELPLESS Man(4:9) • Over 40 yrs old (4:22) • Lame from birth (3:2) • Carried every day • Laid at gate every day • Begged every day • Wanted alms • This man experienced a complete transformation! • From HELPLESS Man (couldn’t stand, 3:2) • To WHOLE Man (could/did stand, 3:8, 16) • To HALLELUJAH Man (wouldn’t stop standing, 4:10,14)

Transformation Essential • Our world needs some GOOD NEWS! • Man’s Present Condition: SPIRITUALLY HELPLESS • Lame/Dead in sin (Eph. 2:1) • Carried by winds (Jude 12) • Lies under sway of devil (1 Jn. 5:19) • Begging for worldly things (1 Jn. 2:15-17) • Man’s Greatest Need: Be SPIRITUALLY WHOLE • For all mankind, Transformation Is Essential! • From HELPLESS to WHOLE to HALLELUJAH!

Transformation Effected • Transformation cannot be effected by one’s self alone! • Transformation is not effected by getting one’s wants! • Transformation is only effected by getting one’s needs! • “In the name of Jesus Christ” (3:6, 14; 4:7, 10, 12, 17, 18) • Only “in the name of Christ” (by His authority) can one: • Be saved (2:21, 38; 4:12; 22:16) • Be sanctified & justified (1 Cor. 6:11) • Please God (Col. 3:17) • Be sure of eternal life (1 John 5:13) • Transformation is only possible by God’s loving grace! • Therefore, our teaching must be “in the name of Christ”! • Acts 4:17-18; 5:40; 8:12; 9:27, 29; Colossians 3:17

Summary • Our friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, strangers: • Are Spiritually HELPLESS! • Need to be Spiritually WHOLE! • We, as Christians, must: • Share/Give what we have! • Not share/give what the world wants! • The name of Christ alone can save! • Therefore, the name of Christ alone must be what we teach! • Our world needs: • Saved people… • Living hallelujah lives and… • Teaching God’s plan of salvation!

Have you been transformed? • Believe on the Lord & seek Him today – Hebrews 11:6 • Turn away from sin & toward Him today – Acts 3:19 • Make known your faith in Him today – Matthew 10:32 • Be immersed into Him today – Galatians 3:27 • The Lord will wash away your sins – Acts 22:16 • The Lord will add you to His church – Acts 2:47 • The Lord will enroll you in heaven – Hebrews 12:23 • Keep standing faithfully with the Lord – 1 John 1:7
