Using VAS VAS for stocking • VAS operations done by the facilities for stocking periodically on the basis of expected demand for a product i.e. kits VAS for refurbishment • Items are returned needing laundering, tuning, cleaning, or fixing before they are RFI. This will be discussed in a later lesson. Create Workorder Details Screen-1 Primary Information for Workorder Work Order # - can be user defined or system generated Service Item Group – select Kitting from the drop down Purpose – select Stock, Order or Ship Put a check in Release Immediately box. Create Workorder Details Screen-2 Work Order Item Data Enter Item ID or select from the look up and tab out of field Unit of Measure and Product Class will auto fill Qty Avail to Build will populate Enter Requested Quantity Click on Proceed Copyright 2002 Sterling Commerce, Inc. Create Workorder Screen with Component Details This screen shows an overview of the components and Total Quantity needed. Click on SAVE. Work Order Details Click on View Tasks to view and complete the move tasks on the console from the storage location to the VAS Zone. If the move tasks will be accomplished via the scan device this step is not needed. Copyright 2002 Sterling Commerce, Inc. All rights reserved.

Kitting Trackable Kits • Same process is followed for kitting a trackable kit with the exception of the steps to enter the kit trackable ID and the trackable ID. • When the move task is created the system will prompt for the trackable ID of the component (s) • - After the confirm button is selected pop up screens will be displayed for the kit trackable ID and the trackable ID. • The following screens show examples ….
