VOICE Update Bulletin- March 2009 Temporary problem with Attachments Due to a major problem recently, AACS temporarily removed access to VOICE file attachments. So far AACS have managed to restore the last year’s worth of attachment data; emails, letters, solutions etc (anything where you open a file). Therefore attachments older than one year will display an error ‘the requested file cannot be found on the file system’. However on request AACS can restore these files manually; please email VOICE@open.ac.uk stating the PI or Tutor ID and clarifying which file attachment you need restoring. Spell check to ignore PI and Course Codes If you want to set the VOICE spellchecker to ignore words with digits e.g. PI and Course Codes: • Go to Tools> User Preferences • On the User Preferences Tab click Spelling • Tick ignore words with digits • Click Save Also the spellchecker is automatically set to check for English-American spelling. Ensure that you are checking using the English-British dictionary by: • Going to Tools> User Preferences • On the User Preferences Tab click Spelling • From the dropdown list select English-British • Click Save VOICE Contact Details:Website: VOICE Website Email: VOICE@open.ac.uk Tel: x 54721
