Digitally Transparent Community--AUP • Students and staff are using technology fluidly to support project-based learning • Students and staff can access work online in all classes • Students and staff use common platform to communicate information and to calibrate schoolwide practices • Students and staff are using technology to communicate and support a Restorative Justice approach to discipline and school culture • Technology infuses urban planning into all classes • Students and staff use a digital portfolio to track learning over time Digitally Transparent Community Byam Network

Project-based Learning--AUP • Students and staff use language that supports a student-centered learning environment • Students are co-designers of the curriculum and provide critical feedback that inform project-development • Community partners are commonly seen in project development and implementation • Students are taught and assessed on college and work-ready skills in addition to deepening content knowledge and conceptual understanding • Projects regularly integrate Urban Planning in connection with content • Cross-curricular projects are common Project-Based Learning Byam Network

Schoolwide assessment practices--AUP • School teaches and assesses common set of schoolwide skills through use of rubrics and calibrated performance-based activities • Develop authentic assessments around standards and Regents requirements • (Long Term) students can articulate competencies and may pursue them through a variety of pathways including courses, collaborative/integrated projects, and individualized projects. • Grading provides specific information to students about their competencies School-wide assessment practices Byam Network
