  2. The battle comes to an end!

  3. A partial settlement, nets OUR CITY $35,000,000.00That’s $35 Million!

  4. Now comes rebuilding and healing.

  5. The good things are!BIA got rid of 73-acres of contaminated land.

  6. The BIA received $1.9 Million in cash.

  7. Properties are getting cleaned up???

  8. Citizens will not get stuck with the costs of cleaning up their own property.

  9. We, as a City, are free from the worry of paying for any of the costs of the cleanup.We are no longer a responsible party. For the most part!

  10. Citizens are now informed, its up to you to follow a few simple guidelines for your safety. LIKE the FOLLOWING…

  11. Clean your home thoroughly, minimize the dust, wash hands after activities, remove shoes, replace old carpets or clean the ones you have, keep your car clean inside.Wear a dust mask when mowing.

  12. The City of Blackwell can now pursue educational programs and continuing to open their City meeting up for discussion.

  13. Congratulations to the Citizens of Blackwell! We had a record turn out to the Thursday Night’s Special Meeting!Standing Room Only!!

  14. Please attend… Your participation is vital to all issues, because it encourages the City to act on your behalf!

  15. Thank you, council, for attending to all of the questions asked at the Special Meeting.

  16. Communication between all involved, will lessen fears and increase understanding.

  17. The harder we work together to understand our situation, will indirectly promote productive discussion to resolve the problems we face.

  18. We will continue to work on the citizens behalf, testing soils, reporting medical problems, and stay involved with the EPA, CDC, and ODEQ.

  19. The lawsuits, for property value loses, and medical monitoring are still raging. Get involved!
