Action: Write a definition of portraits that includes the following information: • Name the kinds/types of portraits a person could make. • How is portraiture used in our world today? • What experience you have had with portraits?
Action: Name Careers in Portraiture • What careers or work can you think of that an artist or a photographer could do to help society. • Where could you go to study how to become a portrait photographer? • How much money could you expect to make in a successful portrait career?
Action: Look at portraits in art and photography. • Find out about two painters whose work included painting portraits. • What is their name and when did they paint? • What motivated them to do these paintings? Find out about two photographers whose work included portraits. What is their name and when did they work? What motivated them to do these photographs?
