MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK’S LIFE. Atatürk was born in Salonika in 1881. His father’s name was Ali Rıza Efendi , his mother’s name was Zübeyde Hanım and his sister’s name was Makbule. His father died when little Mustafa started primary school , so they moved to another city.

  1. MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK’S LIFE

  2. Atatürk was born in Salonika in 1881.

  3. His father’s name was Ali Rıza Efendi , his mother’s name was Zübeyde Hanım and his sister’s name was Makbule .

  4. His father died when little Mustafa started primary school , so they moved to another city.

  5. They stayed with his uncle .He worked on his uncle’s farm for some time.Then,he went back to Selonika and started Şemsi Efendi School again.

  6. He entered the exam for the Military School and he passed it. • He was very good at maths in the Military School.His maths teacher liked him very much.One day ,he said to him “Your name is Mustafa .My name is Mustafa.That’s why I am giving you the name Kemal.Your name is Mustafa Kemal from now on.”

  7. He finished the Military School and joined the army as a young officer.

  8. He fought in Çanakkale Wars.

  9. On May 19,1919 Mustafa Kemal Pasha landed in the Black Sea Port of Samsun to start the War of Independence .

  10. He became the chief commander of the Turkish Independence War .He saved our country with his friends from the very strong nations of the world.

  11. He opened the Turkish Grand National Assembly on the 23rd of April , 1920.

  12. He held the Congresses in Erzurum and Sivas.

  13. He founded the Turkish Republic on the 29th of October , 1923. • He became the first president of the Turkish Republic. • In 1934, The Turkish Grand National Assembly gave him the surname “Atatürk”.Atatürk means the father of Turks in English Language.

  14. HE MADE A LOT OF REFORMS IN TURKEY IN DIFFERENT AREAS

  15. He wore a hat in Kastamonu for the first time.

  16. He abolished the veil and fez on the 25th November ,1925

  17. He adopted the Latin Alphabet on the 1st of November ,1928.

  18. He died on the 10th of November ,1938.

  19. His mausoleum is in Ankara.
