  2. What is Halal? What is Tayyab? When You are allowed to eat and drink halal food, then what should be the next step? Be grateful to Allah. How to use the food? Eat and drink but not waste by excess. Which types of food and drinks are Halal or Haram?

  3. Topic: Permissible and Forbidden Foods and Drinks in Islam. We Are Learning To (WALT): • 1.Inspect the types of food permitted and forbidden by Allah SWT.  • 2. Examine the rules for permitting and forbidding foods and drinks. • 3. Infer the reasons for forbidding some foods and drinks.   9. قُل لَّا أَجِدُ فِي مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَىٰ طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُ إِلَّا أَن يَكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمًا مَّسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنزِيرٍ فَإِنَّهُ رِجْسٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ ۚ 6:145 Types of Foods & Drinks Forbidden and their Reasons Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure - or it be [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah .

  12. 2. Bad foods & drinks-harmful substances forbidden according to Shariah Harmful plants and substances such as tobacco used in making cigarettes. Pernicious(harmful) animals: including insects, dogs, vulture, snakes etc. Wild animals with fangs that they prey with Birds with talons that they use in hunting

  13. Group Discussion and speech/Eloquence about essential points: How to spread awareness in masses about Halal & Haram ruling? How Halal food can effect the physical and mental health of humans? Why intoxicated substances and drugs are banned in Muslim countries? Prove that Shariahruling about food consumption is totally in favor of mankind. Instructions: 1. Discuss and list main points of speech. 2. Select your spokesperson to deliver a short speech. (3min) 3. Present in front of your fellows to convince them with your opinion. (2min for each)

INDEPENDENT ACTIVITY WILF/Outcome: Infer and explain the types of permitted & forbidden food and drinks also analyze the reasons of forbidding some foods & drinks with the reference of Qur’an & Hadith. Evidence By shariah evidence which unclean foods and drinks are considered as filth and explore the examples of forbidden things. (page#153-154) Extension work: All marine animals are permissible and lawful, Which marine animals are lawful to eat? Examine the reasons of the consumption of haram food and suggest the ways how to educate people to avoid it. Design A mind map and infer the two types of forbidden food with reasons. page# 153 to155 DISCOVER The permissible food and drinks as stated in holy Quran and hadith. (page#148-149) Extension work: THINK which countries having high rate of haram consumption and the effects of this consumption on their society. Extension work: Classify the given things in to permissible and forbidden. Extension work: THINK about the reasons for abusing drugs and smoking.
