Guiltless No’s Return Interactive Exercise: Opportunity to practice saying NO! • What’s on my plate? • Will this fit? If not, what am I willing to trade? • Does this help me achieve my objectives? Does it have positive ROI? • May have to do it anyway, but at least take the time to think about whether you want to do it. • Determine if it’s a “smart” decision (worthwhile ROI). • Gracefully say “no”… • I refuse to give you less than my highest quality work, and I’m not in a place right now where I can devote the attention this task requires. Therefore, I’m going to have to say no this time. • …and suggest an alternative • You may want to try so-and-so.
