LES Workshop - You may have heard of it… but WHAT is it? • Major initiative of the parish to engage more parishioners in our many ministries and to become part of our community • Our Lady of Angels is not just a body • It is a living, breathing community • LES meets quarterly, usually after Sunday 11am Mass • It is made up of • Parish Pastoral Council • Parish Finance Council • Liturgy Committee • Interested parishioners • Identify an initiative that meets a need in the parish and brainstorm ways to implement it • Next LES Workshop February 10 • After 11am Mass • Please Join Us!!! • Lunch provided

  6. What have the LES workshops come up with?? One time Initiative – try a ministry to learn what it’s about without any obligation Parish Bible Study Initiative “Speak In The Light” Outreach Initiative – Monthly parish wide community outreach Embrace Initiative – This will be the focus of our next LES workshop

  7. There are ways you can get involved!! • There are about 42 ministries for you to choose from • How many would like you to get involved? ALL OF THEM • There are some ministries in urgent need of your help • Alter Linens • Sacristan • VBS Adult volunteers • Usher Ministries directly involved in supporting weekend Masses Faith Formation teachers are always needed COMING SOON: Parish wide Safe Environment Training After each Mass Weekend TBD  “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45)

Stephen Ministry Update • Minister to people of our parish who are experiencing a crisis, facing a challenge or simply going through a tough time • 16 active Stephen Ministers • 6 more in training • 980 hours of service to those in the parish who are in need ~so far! • They are the “After People”

New Catholic Regional School Interest Survey for the greater Collin County region • The Diocese of Dallas is studying the potential for a new Catholic regional school to serve the greater Collin County region. Please complete this 10-minute survey to provide your opinion on this idea.
