Look at how these sentences are constructed in English and French in the south west of Italy it is windy . dans le sud-ouest de l’Italie il y a du vent . yesterday in the east of Belgium it was snowing ! hier dans l’est de la Belgique il neigeait ! The coloured boxes can be changed for the time, area, country, tense and weather

  7. Translate the following sentences into French in the south east of France it is sunny . yesterday in the north of England it was raining ! tomorrow in the south of Spain it will be hot .

  8. Useful phrases for adding more detail, note them down if necessary. parce que - because mais - but trop - too très - very j’adore - I love j’aime - I like je n’aime pas - I don’tlike je déteste - I hate c’est - itis c’était - itwas ça sera - itwillbe tous les jours – everyday souvent – often hier – yesterday demain - tomorrow

  9. Translate into French! • I love the snow, but it is very cold! • In Austria it snows everyday. • In the north of England it will rain. • Today I am going to the park, it will be warm. • Yesterday in the south east of England it was very windy and it rained.
