Between 1973-2005, 732 students !! 314 UK, 159 EU & 259 overseas. • MSc in Radiation and Environmental Protection: Started in 1974-5 session (precursors, MSc/Dip. in Principles and Practice of Radiological Protection; Certificate in Radiological Protection). Course Director, Walter Gilboy. Between 1975-2005 > 500 graduates. Sponsorships from SRC,SERC, EPSRC, IAEA, AWE, GE-Healthcare, British Energy, RWE NUKEM, UKAEA….

  6. Closing Remarks • I would like to end by acknowledging the foundations laid by Lewis way back in 1958. I hope he is proud to see how his child has matured in the past 50 years! • I would also like to publically recognize the enormous benefit we have derived from having key national figures to take us forward from where Lewis left off. I am referring of course to Daphne Jackson and Bill Gelletly. I hope you will join me in offering them a round of applause.
