Raider Rewards Purpose: The goal is to create an environment based on positive behavior. Summary: To accomplish our goal, we are creating Community Point System. Students will earn and lose “Raider Rewards” (RR) based on their behavior and accomplishments. They will have the opportunity to participate in Community events and purchase privileges based on their Raider Rewards. There will be a method for teachers to track and update students. Teachers give students points daily through the computerized tracking system. Points will be posted weekly so students can then see what RR trips/activities/privileges they are eligible for. Earning Points: All students will earn 5 Raider Rewards each week. When students earn additional points, they will be added by the teacher in the computerized tracking system. Students Can also earn points by helping a teacher, following directions, etc. at adult discretion. Losing Points: Students lose points through infractions, detentions, suspensions and being unprepared for class. This is all captured in Connect. Eligibility/Spending:Students will be eligible for Monthly Community Activities and the End of Year trip, but they can also spend points for other privileges.

CONNECT Infraction System CONNECT is a behavior tracking system used at RMS. All teachers and staff have access to a database that is used to record negative behavior infractions. Students who receive 0 Infrations in a marking period or improve from one marking period to the next are recognized. As the number of Infractions increases, as does the level of consequence. Students start fresh with 0 Infractions each Marking Period. CONNECT Consequences and Interventions 4 Infractions: Teacher Detention and Conference with teachers 8 Infractions: Community Detention and Conference with parents and teachers 12 Infractions: Suspension and conference with SLC and parents.
The Yellow Community • has eight 6th grade homerooms; • is housed exclusively on the second floor; • enters and exits at the main entrance; • wears black lanyards and ID’s as part of the uniform every day. • Students are organized into dyads.
