  1. “Obama to speak after forceful Clinton endorsement”

  2. Former President Bill Clinton spoke to an overflowing Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday night at the Democratic National Convention. Clinton’s 48 minute speech focused on picking apart Republican attacks and explained why Obama can achieve the same economic growth that he did in the 1990s. He said that Barack Obama offers a better path forward for the country and pledged his support. He framed the November election as the opportunity for voters to choose what kind of country they want.

  3. In Other News Campbell Soup Company is the latest entity to honor Andy Warhol’s legacy. This week, 1.2 million limited-edition cans of condensed tomato soup with labels inspired by his Pop art go on sale. The specially designed Campbell's soup cans pay tribute to his lively color palette, using orange, blue, pink and teal to spruce up the familiar design. The labels commemorate the 50th anniversary of Warhol's famed art piece "32 Campbell's Soup Cans." An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 struck the northwest coast of Costa Rica Wednesday, resulting in the death of at least one person, the U.S. Geological Survey said. Andy Roddick's professional tennis career ended with a loss to Juan Martin del Potro at the U.S. Open. Roddick won 32 titles overall and one Grand Slam crown at the 2003 U.S. Open. Roddick's retirement leaves the United States without an active men's Grand Slam champion for the first time in 129 years.
