Dr. Allen Menkin A Physician, Businessman, and Golfer There is no doubt that Dr. Allen Menkin has done much for New Jersey, medicine, and pediatrics. After many years of service to his profession, medical missionary work, and time in the Army, he retired in 2015. For many, the obvious next step is golf. According to Menkin, however, he plays quite badly. That hasn’t stopped him in the past though, and it certainly won’t now!
Dr. Allen Menkin Medical Missionary Ever the caring doctor,Dr. Allen Menkincontinues to demonstrate what it truly means to be a physician. Along with his dedication to children’s health and safety, his work with the Army, and the various programs he has started to benefit health and wellness, he has somehow found time to do missionary work at an HIV clinic in Ethiopia. He is proving that in this consumer-driven society, there are still medical professionals who are in it for the true meaning of medicine: to help people.
Dr. Allen Menkin Independent Practice or Insurance? Having helped start and lead three Individual Physician Associations, Dr. Allen Menkin clearly understands the need for physicians to organize.. However, he also advised three medical insurance programs, and was regional medical director for Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield. It is apparent to him that insurance needs to meet the needs and expectations of patients and doctors to succeed in supporting good health.
Dr. Allen Menkin Preventing Childhood Violence Following Columbine and other early school massacres , Dr. Allen Menkin started the program called “Stand Up for Kids” to promote violence prevention. The program is dedicated to preventing violence to children, and by children. Many studies have shown the effects of violence to and around small children, often this results in them growing up to have violent tendencies themselves. A few ways to prevent this are to ensure that children feel loved and safe, that they have structure, and proper – not excessive – discipline.
