Admittedly, I had a lot of advantages…• Parents divorced < • School phobic and 1y/o anxiety disorder• Orthopedic Issues • Grandparents didn’t go• BMI = 33 (& named to school past 8th grade what??) • Dysphonetic dyslexia• Pimples, glasses • Lost our home, lived• Embroidered “Kick with church friends Me” to my shirts to • My own divorce and save bullies the trouble depression

The Tyranny of the 501(c)3 • Objectives: Incubator, collaborator,• 501(c)(3) facilitator, educator – What-A-Pain! • 1023 – CGI serves as an incubator for new • 990 initiatives that creatively solve healthcare inequities around the world • IL-990-AG • Letters – We act as a collaborator with • $750 for “Inc.” in IL individuals and organizations in • $5000 in legal developing and launching projects that • $1000 in accounting address the needs of medically • $25 in listing impoverished populations • 7 months – We function as a facilitator in directing • >100 hours…! public and private resources towards programs aimed at improving health globally – Working as an educator to provide new information and tools for empowering others.

Measuring OutcomesTo-date: – Approximately 20,000 people (orphans and the very poor) have received medical services and food. – 70 orphans have been educated in the kindergarten.In 2010: “73 cents-a-life” Campaign – We partnered at Humuma and Kibosho Hospitals to provide meds. – 4100 people were successfully treated for malaria. – 28% of those were infected children under the age of five.

Tips• Learn who authors what you like best in • Be curious psychology • Be active and adaptive – Do your homework on who you want to learn • Be patient and impatient from • Network like a fiend• Read outside of – Never Eat Lunch Alone psychology, too • Volunteer• Be willing to pay dues • Do lots for free when• Be willing to delay starting out gratification – No such thing as scutwork, – Do anything, if time limited there are just low paying opportunities
