  6. When I enter the classroom I must • Begin Warm-up

  7. When the bell rings at the end of class I will Stay seated until dismissed

  8. What do I need to bring to class? • AR Book • Something to write with

  9. Format for Heading Papers Always goes in the right-hand corner First Name Last Name Date LA-Period

  11. Procedure for turning in class work/ homework when completed Put into your class’ basket

  12. Can I leave the room to go to the restroom/ get water? Yes, but only twice a 9 weeks.

  13. Library Day You may only go to the library on our library day. If you are absent it is your responsibility to go to the library on your time.

  14. Procedure for going to the nurse. Ask at a good time

  15. When I am absent I will Ask for make-up work

  16. Penalties for late work • First semester- 3 assignments • Second no late work • Major assignments- Never allowed

  17. What if I need help with class work or homework? • During class- ask • Tutorials- M, Th, Fri monring • M-F After school

  18. When is talking allowed? When teacher finishes everything.

  19. When I need to ask the teacher a question I will Raise my hand

  20. When I wish to answer a question or need to get out of my seat when the teacher is talking I will Wait until she is finished

  21. Classroom Rules • Be in assigned seat when the bell rings. • Bring all supplies • Keep all body parts to yourself • Cursing, rude gestures, teasing, disruptive behavior is prohibited • Follow Directions • The teacher, NOT the BELL, dismisses class

  22. Consequences • Verbal Warning • Private Talk • Call Parent and Change Seat • Teacher D-Hall and Parent Phone Call • Parent Conference and Two D-Halls • Office Referral

  23. Rewards • Extra time in the library • Free time at the end of class

  24. Can I chew gum or have snacks in the classroom? NO

  25. Writing Notes and Cell Phones • If you choose to write notes to your friends, expect me to read them aloud • If you choose to text in class, I will pick up your phone and turn it into the office. • I understand that there are circumstances in which you need to contact a parent, please come to me with these problems before you try to call or text.

  26. Pictures • Any picture sharing either in your notebook or digital camera will get picked up. • I return printed pictures at the end of the year. • The office will receive your digital camera • No taking pictures of other students
